Sono state realizzate challenge mensili tra alunni (lancio o svolgimento di quiz interattivi, indovinelli, di “now it’s your turn”... ) e webinar.

The autonomous region of Trentino-Alto Adige can truly satisfy all the imaginable needs of anybody:

trentino

LINK

In winter, the skiing is absolutely unparalleled. Spring and fall offer enchanting hikes along an extensive network of well-marked trails,  Laid out along the country’s northeastern border with Austria, it is a breathtaking land with:

  • permanent snow and popular ski resorts
  • imposing mountain chains and unpolluted forests
  • 297 fashinating lakes
  • alpine meadows
  • glittering waterfalls
  • amazing medieval/renaissance art towns
  • an impressively large number of castles and towers dominating the valleys (Trentino-Alto Adige is seemingly the region with the highest number of castles in the world);
  • evocative medieval-looking villages.

This is all evidence of the colourful history of this borderland, which has always marked the point of transition to and from the Latin and Germanic worlds. Due to this the place is very rich in culture and hosts a large number very interesting museums of all kind and a series of cultural events all year round.
Climates and landscapes change marvellously within 35 min. drive: from mediterranean mildness on the Lake of Garda (cultivation of olives and lemons; spas, etc) to freshness of the first mountain peaks (Brentonico, Folgaria, etc.), to become fresher and fresher going up to higher mountains.

Wa are based in the chieftown TRENTO.

It is surrounded by mountains but it lays only 300 mt. above sea level, as a consequence our climate is not very cold (minimum year average –2 degrees C. and maximum + 30). Humidity is very low, so normally neither cold nor hot weather are really annoying.

Visiting staff and students may particularly enjoy their stay in Trentino if they like:

VISITING TOWNS: daily trips can ne arranged to:

NATURE: you may have emjoy day ttrips to:

SPORTS: natural variety and climate conditions have always attracted Europe’s most dynamic people to the area. You can practice virtually any sport here and join many (tourist) clubs to learn how to practice them.

CULTURE AND HISTORY: due to its bordering position between northern and Mediterranean Europe, Trentino has represented an essential passage for a cultural exchanges between different populations, clearly evident in local traditions and history from pre-history to Roman times, from the Renaissance era to the First World War and the Statute of Autonomy. You can visit a very large number of museums of all sorts, most of them with guided tours in different languages. Trentino has more than 100 castles and military builidings of various eras, from 10 to 60 min. drive from Rovereto.

MUSIC AND SINGING: different festivals of music, theatre and dance, all year round and in various localities (squares, castles, lake shores, mountain woods, etc.), plus dedicated museums (the singer, pianist and guitarist is our son) and the new music area situated very close to our main school site, the Trentino Music Arena.

SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY:

  • the MUSE is an immense museum dedicated to nature, the mountains, technology and sustainability, housed within the light-filled architecture of Renzo Piano. The many activities it offers its youngest visitors make it an unmissable stop!

  • The Segonzano Pyramids, ground pillars of moronic deposit, 20 mt. in height.;
  • an astronomers observatory

The “Istituto Comprensivo Aldeno-Mattarello” is a friendly, welcoming grouping of six schools in Trentino Sud-Tirol, within the chief town of Trento (Mattarello) and around it:

  1. Secondary school of Mattarello-Trento (chief town)
  2. Secondary school of Aldeno (TN)
  3. Primary school of Mattarello-Trento
  4. Primary school of Aldeno (TN)
  5. Primary school of Romagnano (TN)
  6. Primary school of Cimone (TN)

Our Institute is very large, counting about 1.000 pupils aged 6-13. Our vision is to grow citizens, empowered to live successfully in their personal and global lives. We highly value connections with our parents and community and are on a constant mission to make our learning environment responsive and exciting.
Some information about the syllabus:

Languages area: we are committed in raising awareness amongst our pupils of their own mother tongue and foreign language competence as key contemporary life skills, since languages contribute to the cultural and linguistic richness of our society, to personal fulfilment, mutual understanding, international trade and global citizenship. When children develop their mother tongue, they are simultaneously fostering a whole host of other essential skills, such as critical thinking and literacy skills, allowing them to transfer their understanding of the structure of language to other foreign languages.  We teach English and German in the traditional way and in CLIL, as part of the curriculum, as this is compulsory in our autonomous Province, mainly in “vehicular” English. Our students edit their own school magazines, participate in public debates, get A1, A2 and B1 certifications in English and German and in exchanges with twinned schools in Ergolding (Germany), Herrsching am Ammersee i(Germany) and Železná Ruda (Czech Republic), and we are ready to start new exchange partnerships.

Scientific area: learning mathematics, science and technology helps students to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. The world is changing and these subjects are central to cure diseases, sustain the progress and solve world problems like global warming. We therefore ensure that our students learn the skills to maybe become scientist or just think critically in everyday situations. To foster scientific development we involve them in various activities like maths, robotic and coding games/contests.

Arts area: we reckon arts very important, as they are hands-on, have immediate rewards, develop concrete products and fosters collaboration. Learning a musical instrument, creating a painting, or singing in a chorus shows that taking small steps, practicing to improve, being persistent and patient are important for their  growth and improvement For this reasons our school arranges exhibitions of artcrafts and various kinds of music and singing performances inside and outside the institute.

Gym and sports area: physical education allows students to develop healthy habits that are beneficial throughout life. UNESCO laid out 4 reasons - Physical literacy and civic engagement, academic achievement, inclusion and health. With these aims we arrange games and competitions in different sports in which our students participate enthusiastically and achieve outstanding results.

Religion and citizenship area: these subjects promote the moral, cultural, and mental development of students at the school and within the wider society. A variety of activities provide excellent opportunities for students to engage with contentious issues, developing an awareness of social justice, democracy, government and how laws are made.

Intercultural area: our institute has engaged in significant curricular and research activities to recognise and nurture value for social and cultural differences. Some of our teaches founded the association “Teachers without borders” whit the headquarter inside our school, launching important initiatives in the school and worldwide. We also apply the UNESCO global school framework.

We have embodied eTwinning in our syllabus and best practices repertoire to ensure teachers' practice and competence development in the pedagogical and digital areas and to promote citizenship values.

We and our pupils are very happy to run this eTwinning project with you all.
